Ms. J 's 21st High Society Birthday Ball
Joce's birthday party was super cool! The setting was amazing, complete with a red carpet, a 'sponsors' wall, spotlights, a gorgeous cake, silver and gold balloons hanging from the ceiling and fine dining! I'm glad i didn't succumb to my dislike for parties and went ahead with it! I felt ridiculously short and underdressed though, cos almost every girl in the restaurant wore heels and proper dresses (as you can see, i'm in an oversized tank and my trusty lace ups...i laugh at all the girls who got sore feet at the end of the day, hah!) Last but not least, HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOCELYN LEONG!(Cheers for the awesome party!) |

Let me amuse you with more pictures from Sentosa day (this time, stolen from Pinnx). #1 : The girls weren't even ready when Taufiq took the picture. Me, Pinnx and Lorry were too tired to jump so we posed our own way. #2: Fail. . . . . #6: We on the ground got so bored we just sat there. Fail. #7: Ter just couldn't jump in time, causing alot of the previous shots to fail. So we on the ground gave her some 'power'. #8: Gave the rest 'a lift' as well. They kicked a whole chunk of sand at us when they landed. TJ Floorball J2s <3 |

JCT results have by far been the worst since i've been in TJ. I thought i've seen the last of bad results in MCTs. Sigh. I did so so badly for my pet subject. I guess that's what you get for taking things slow and ending up not covering half the syllabus for each subject. URGH.
Anyways, i learned my lesson. I think. Well, i'd better seeing that there's only 14 weeks left to the big As.
...
Photos from Sentosa! (stole these from Farah)
We sat on the tram-ride because it was FREE, although we knew that it won't take us to our destination. Volleyball. Or at least, my pathetic attempt to play volleyball. Boys playing their own game. Digging holes in the sand and posing. Typical beach picture. Awesome scenery though! Doesn't look like SG! Laughing because of Michelle's stupid face (which i will post soon to embarrass her).

WANG IS COOL. I would actually wear that pair of shorts. AW makes me want to alter my ugly leggings into bike shorts and cut holes in the sleeves of an old Topshop sweater. ... Today was supposedly my early day but i came home at 5? Stupid after school meetings...urgh. I read 3 chapters of Half-Blood Prince when i came back and fell asleep for 2 hours. I really need to finish reading it before the movie release!
Debs finally got herself a decent mp3 player in the form of an Ipod (in purple!) and she's starting to listen to kpop!
Tomorrow is a long long day i school and we're probably getting back our JCT papers in full force. Shit. |

Sentosa with the floorballers today was fun. I learned that i can never play volleyball no matter how hard i try, i should just give up. The weather was extremely fickle. It was sunny while we were there and just as we were to begin doing what we planned, it started raining. 15 minutes later it was sunny again...too sunny that we ended up red faced and then it started pouring again after 1 hour of sun. Stupid weather.
We also had dinner at Fig & Olive after dragging our feet all over Vivo, making those annoying slipper-dragging sounds and sliding all over the polished floor. The food was pretty bleah...please don't go there if you have a choice.
I walked passed GAP and OMG, i saw the Alexander Wang capsule collection for GAP. No no no. Urgh. His name was stuck on the glass window, 'ALEXANDER WANG' and my eyes grew big. Sigh. AW makes even khaki cool.
I really don't want to go back to school tomorrow. Really.

" She slides it into a thick glossy bag with dark green cord handles and hands it over to me. I almost want to close my eyes, the feeling is so wonderful. That moment. That instant when your fingers curl round the handles of a shiny, uncreased bag - and all the gorgeous new things inside it become yours." - Secret Dreamworld Of a Shopaholic I spent the afternoon reading Shopaholic, drifting in and out of sleep while reading. But i'm done with it already in two days and now i want to watch the movie!
I also read the spoilers for My Sister's Keeper (killjoy right?) and the movie is gonna be pretty different from the novel. So i decided to remove it from my 'must-watch-movies' list. They changed the ending and removed some characters.
I've also been watching Couple Or Trouble starring Oh Ji Ho (Dayum he's hot and has super pretty dimples). Predictable but very funny. I'm left with 6 episodes and then i'm on to Hong Gil Dong (JANG. GEUN. SUK.!)
I'm really trying to do everything i can to relax and enjoy before school starts again on Wednesday.
... Photos from yesterday.
Oori Debbie nomu yeppo yo ~ (Our Debbie is so pretty) Will you look at that nose please?! Can you believe she insisted on a nose clip! Laughing at something they said. We realised that we have so many similiar habits and that we might secretly be long-lost twins. Then i said, "No way, i look nowhere near how you do!" He actually said, " Yeah I'm the one the that grew up normally and you didn't!" Idiot. And can you believe it, he calculated our total bill in his head (GST included) even before the actual bill came and he missed it only by 5 cents so we got the cash prepared before we reached the counter. Dayum, his intelligence scares me sometimes.

Outing today with Jerrold and Debbie was seriously really fun and we talked about almost everything. But seriously, what was i thinking when i voluntarily accompanied them to the Public Service Commision Scholarship Fair?! I had to meet them at 10 in the morning and spend the day lugging all the brochures and souvenirs (which was so heavy it made a mark on my shoulder)?!
Anyway i think half the fair was filled with TJ students. TJ people were everywhere.
We ate and shopped a bit for Deb's present, got her this super cool two-way satchel which i would have gotten for myself if not for the price. I got myself two tubes to wear under my oversized tanks and another Beatle's badge.
OH BTW, i wore my oversized denim vest out today and to my horror, one of the four buttons popped out and disappeared while we were touring the fair. AND THEN, the one half of the back panel started unseaming itself. I had to pin it down with a safety pin while we sat at Sakae. I paid $26 for it. Urgh. Now i have to look for new buttons to replace all four.
We also caught Transformers 2: Revenge of The Fallen.
I think it was seriously awesome! Though the last battle scene took 45 minutes and Shia LaBeouf took forever to get to Optimus Prime, it was really pretty exciting. And Jerrold couldn't stop bursting out laughing everytime Shia LaBeouf suffers the mental breakdown and starts blabbering in Cybertronian language and profuse eye blinking. Although i think the Decepticons are way cooler than the Autobots and they make the Autobots seem so outnumbered and powerless, i think Optimus Prime is way cool...like when he transforms i'm like, 'Woah'. And Bumblebee and Wheelie are the cutest things!
But seriously, why didn't Optimus Prime destroy Starscream and Megatron when he got the chance? He only plucked off his arm and his ribs. I guess that means there's a part 3. Oooh and i never knew Optimus Prime was some sort of Cybertronian royalty.
Next up Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince, My Sister's Keeper and The Time Traveler's Wife!

Just finished AP/GP and i finally discovered what a 'convergence series' means. I remember how i used to suffer under the hands of AP/GP and avoided every single sequences & series question like plague when it appears in tests. It actually isn't that bad...compared to calculus.
Anyway i slacked the entire of yesterday due to the trauma from our chem paper. The cafe thing at TJ opened a couple of days ago and the clique and i have been going there for two days straight. Super nice to sit under LT2 with $1 ice cream in hand and just talking about anything.
I also packed up my wardrobe. I'm amazed at how neat it is that i open it from time to time just to marvel at my wardrobe-packing skills. I give it one month to turn messy again.
THINGS TO DO AFTER JCTS:
- Sleep - Hang out with clique - GHWT! (which means Tabi and Jasminelaw....and Sophie!) - Read Shopaholic (believe it man, i've never read it) - Read Half-Blood Prince (i've read it before 2 years ago, reading it again before the movie release! Can't wait!) - Transformers

I made a pretty huge mistake while deciding what to study for econs. For Part 1, what i studied did come up but hoho, i studied just last night and i was hoping that topic wouldn't come out at all. But i did that one anyway and at least the questions were pretty basic.
The macroeconomics questions were the bomb man. The first one, i stared at it...i couldn't even figure out which chapter it was from. So I looked at the next option. Globalisation. Oh, what joy. I only read through the first 4 pages of Globalisation please. So i took a risk and dug up everything i knew about Globalisation, tried to entwine it with economic terms and wrote a pretty decent 2 page answer for each part.
CSQ was on International Economy which hoho, i only read bits and pieces. But thank God, there wasn't very much about ForEx but more on things like protectionism, economic integration and such (which i did study). And i think they were being quite nice by giving us 4 questions that require you to take answers of the extracts?
So in all, it was better than i expected it to be. I thought i'd end up half-crying after the paper, but nope i felt good. Thank you God. :)
Okay today, i will work another miracle. SIX BIO CHAPTERS BABY! I'm totally ditching GP.
LET'S GO PEOPLE! WE WILL SURVIVE THIS!

Pretty redhead, Filippa Smedds. I like how she wore the washed vest over a denim jacket...though it would be crazy and self-damaging to do the same here in SG. Kinda like a DIY version of... This extremely gorgeous (& costly) AW suede and leather motorcycle jacket. There's this pair of tights i want so badly from Cotton On but it costs SGD 25? I refuse to pay 25 bucks for a pair of Cotton On tights. But dayum, the print was so cool. And they actually had this little black body bag with a strap similiar to this... It was double strapped with a centre piece...though the centre piece is not a zip and the straps are not chains like this one. And the main part of the bag is a mini hobo. Seriously, this AW bag is my dream bag. But the bag was 30? I will not pay 30 for such a tiny bag from Cotton On! But sigh, Cotton On has some pretty decent body bags. But the prices are pure extortion, i tell you. But i did get a floral scoop neck tank, a pair of sherbet pink shorts and denim shorts all for 20 buckaroos! :D |

The price to pay for procrastination. Am i to blame? Uh huh. I am one lazy pile of lard.

Off to catch the awesome performances on Music Bank! (OMG Shinee and 2PM dancing to Gee? The best.)
Then it's back to study, study and more study. Hello sleeping at 4am.

Helmut Lang Jersey Tank Maxi. Another piece of clothing i've recently come to love but cannot have and might never wear out. Forever 21 had an exact replica about 2 months ago. It's the perfect maxi dress without the usual bohemianesque details and cut. ... THE WEATHER IS SO AWESOME. This is the best weather this whole June! It's chilly and the skies are a little grey with a slight drizzle. My favourite kind of weather. I'm going to study by the window and enjoy it! Study hard, fellow TJ people, we will survive! |

Halfway through studying nitrogen compounds, i got so bored that me and Sarah went thrift shopping at 4ish in today. I thought it was quite fun digging through the old clothes and stuff, though Sarah wanted to get out of there pretty quickly because of the musty smell. But seriously, there's pretty awesome stuff there and you'll be in for quite a surprise when you find out how much they cost. The clothes don't have price tags on them so the cashier will tell you when you pay. I got a vintage pair of Guess jeans (think of your mother's lao kok kok jeans she wore in the 90s) which i am planning to cut into a pair of shorts(quite wasted ah...) and a CREAM coloured suede jacket (ohhh finalleh) with zip detail. Reminded me very faintly of this ACNE jacket: Source: net-a-porterVery faintly. The only similiarities are that they're both suede and have a zip in the front. I'm probably gonna add embelishments. Source: cocorosaLike this? I'm just pretty pleased that i managed to find a pair of jeans that fits my waist after looking through 20 pairs and a CREAM jacket. I spent $20. :D |

Omg people, who remembers them and loves them as much as i do? I LIKE LULU! As much as B1 and B2 annoy me with their stupidity...it's still kinda funny to watch and i remember how the Bananas like honey cakes and yellow jelly so much. Come to think of it...two giant banana twins who are best friends with 3 bears and work under a rat? So weird. Who knows Starla and The Jewel Riders as well? NOW THAT has got to be my favourite childhood cartoon of all time. Sigh, they don't make kids programmes like that anymore...now it's all those robots and dueling nonsense. |

Proenza Schouler Resort 2010Mmm probably my third favourite next to Alexander Wang and 3.1 Phillip Lim. I like this one even more than Rag&Bone. I think the vests are two-toned or reversible? How awesome. And i think someone should really start bringing back the 'let me tie my sweater on my hip' look. I used to think it's tacky...it's kinda cute no? Camilla and Marc F/W 09I just discovered this Australian label today and i absolutely adore the colour palette of soft pastels, whites and nudes. MY SANDALS FINALLY CAME. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? After i signed the acknowledgement slip thing, i immediately turned around and yelled to my brother, "Omg Greg, my slippers FINALLY came!" Now, i wait for my big faded denim vest. It's double-breasted and a little oversized...i like. ... Drama mamas...seriously. Pffft.

Sigh...perfect jumpsuit where art thou? This is probably the third time i'm posting that Taylor Momsen picture but her outfit is perfect. That Jen Kao jumpsuit is....wow. ... Hungry, hungry. I'm so afraid that if i memorise everything now, everything will leak out of my brain before JCTs...which happened during the MCTs. I still have a lot to cover...ALOT...makes me wonder what i've been doing the past few weeks when i clearly remember that i did study. Hmm. |

I got bored of studying today i started to stare into space and think about my black blazer. I've been wanting to do something to it for a while now. So inspired by the pictures above, i ironed on studs (just the corners) on the 2nd collar and sewed on shoulder pads (HOHO shoulder pads). It looks so much better now and i can't wait to wear it out. :) ... Two more weeks to the much dreaded papers...studying is getting too boring. |

The trip was so-so...the shopping was very very bad but we ate some pretty awesome food. CRABSSSS. Sarah and i watched some pretty awesome shows on the hotel TV late into the night.
There was really nothing good to buy that we spent most of our shopping time in Topshop and Forever 21. WTH right. BUT their Forever 21 is huge. Like in SG, the accessories area is just one or two pathetic counters right? The Forever 21 in KL is probably 3.5 times the size of Vivo's and there are 4 accessories sections? But they didn't carry the new stocks, so no bib necklaces for me.
At the end of the trip, i got a pair of stone washed skinnies (bcos i gave up hoping that someday i can fit into my current acid-washed pair), an overstatement necklace similiar to the one below (sorta) and 2 extremely cute girl boxers. HAH, so little.
